I got into construction to make money, and I realized pretty quickly I should have done it sooner!
I was an unskilled laborer willing to work... but most of all, I wanted that paycheck. That’s what opened the door.
The more I learned and the more I did (including screw-ups), the more I realized this is a pretty damn cool industry.
10 years later, I’m a finish dozer operator and have run anything from a D3 to a D11.
I like the feeling I get knowing I take part in projects that build the foundation for society.
