Growing up, I was fascinated by heavy equipment and construction activity.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I remember playing with my Tonka trucks in the “Digging Spot” in my childhood backyard for hours on end. I always wanted to stop and watch whatever construction we passed on our travels.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I would see mega highway projects like the Boston Big Dig, and I remember thinking, 'Someday, I want to do that!'⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Now, I know listening to those thoughts and ambitions was the best decision I ever made.⁣⁣

Every day, I get to work on incredible projects with some of the best men and women who help reshape the state my family calls home.⁣⁣

It’s incredibly satisfying to look at a newly paved road or newly constructed interchange and say, 'I was a part of the team that did that.'⁣
⁣⁣
Every day, I wake up knowing that my work will help my family get home safely, and that creates a purpose that’s hard to measure in words.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’d encourage anyone interested in the Dirt World but hesitant to start to ask questions, watch YouTube videos, and engage with the community.⁣⁣
